Corporate Responsibility Standard Setting: 2011 versus 1991

As part of a project assessing lessons learned from building frameworks for corporate responsibility standards setting, a team from EthicScan has completed a detailed review of the evolution, contents and strengths of fifteen international standards. Each corporate standard report is 12-25 pages. Reports exist for GRI, CDP, Responsible Care, FSI, TSM, EITI, ISO 26000, the Equator Principles, Ceres, and six other standards. Systematic Literature Review CORPORATE ADAPTATION TO CLIMATE CHANGE
There is a 90 slide Educators Kit as well as the full paper (125 pages), an analysis of impacts, findings and challenges for 22 different activity sectors, and an Executive Summary which can be obtained free. The research, which focuses on corporate adaptation rather than mitigation, examined all the academic, corporate and special climate change resource literature published between 1999 and 2009. It was carried out by EthicScan Canada for the Business Network for Business Sustainability at University of Western Ontario by David Nitkin, Jackie Medalye and Ryan Foster.
